Halo Hotels became aware of Business Scotland at an event organised by Scottish Enterprise in March to raise awareness of procurement opportunities around the 2014 London Olympics. For me, BusinessClub Scotland is a long awaited facilitating body to raise awareness of Scotland and International events that will benefit business to business networking and one for Halo Hotels to use as a platform to raise awareness of and promote our product and services.
Through BusinessClub Scotland, I attended the Emirates IRB 7s tournament at Murrayfield in May, which included a networking breakfast prior to the rugby with fellow BusinessClub members and guests.
I used this as an opportunity to purchase additional tickets and invite clients on a fantastic day out. We rarely entertain in this way and took the opportunity that BusinessClub Scotland offered, enhanced the day buying additional tickets and inviting clients along, we managed to secure business that we have been working towards for a while. Everyone was a winner that weekend; we had an amazing day, tied up a contract we had been working on and met several new business contacts on the day.
BCS promotes a strong partnership between public and private sectors to benefit Scottish Business. In Scotland we have an impressive and evolving range of sporting and cultural events which offer a platform to harness good business with clients and colleagues and BusinessClub Scotland .
